Every Time You Call Turn Me On Ain't Misbehavin Why Lost In Love Night Just click on a musical symbol fora sample cut from our CD

When I was young, I never could make up my mind what I wanted to be when I grew up.  I’m still having a little difficulty. Music, visual arts, multimedia, amalgamation of visual and computer, three dimensional, classical animation – it’s all still enticing. I’ve often said to my husband, “I want it all artistically”. It’s been challenging balancing and then there’s everyday life. One of my professor’s years ago at Sheridan College in Oakville once said to me that you couldn’t begin to develop a style until you were over 40 – it takes that long just to learn. I think he might have been right.
I do know that I enjoy combining the arts.

Heinz Haas took a picture of Garrett Tyas playing his ukulele (See painting) at one of our jam sessions in Bloomfield some years ago. The actual photograph was blurred and terrible quality, but it captured a moment. I knew I had enough to work with so I painted my first “Get Gone” painting. A painting that hopefully visualized that moment whereby the musician was totally gone in his (or her) music -  no affectations, no preconceptions, just a pure moment of enjoyment and skill showing an individual loving his art and loving his opportunity to share  it with others. What a great place to be.

One of my favorite places to be in life is “Gone”. That is to say, when you’re immersed in your music, or art; simply doing what you were born to do. My husband will spend hours perfecting one of his models in our home studio, paying attention to every little detail. He is an incredible artist both visually and musically. One of our favourite things is to spend time together painting in our studio.

I also enjoy singing and my husband, John. He enjoys playing his guitar. Every morning for the past 29 years, it’s how he starts each day. This is the place we both like to be, “Gone” - immersed in the arts.

And now we also enjoy playing with our daughter, Roanna.

We are booked to record in January and February, 2012. Keep posted for some new samples.

Our new recordings will include our daughter, Roanna.
