One of my favorite places to be in life is “Gone”. That is to say, when you’re immersed in your music, and doing what you love with people you love – well – how great is that?
I love to sing and my husband, John, loves to play. Every morning for the past 29 years, I’ve woken up to my husband playing his guitar. It’s how he starts each day. This is the place we both like to be, “Gone”.
That is why I’m going to call our first solo art / music show “Get Gone”.
We will invite you to “Get Gone” with us. To find that wonderful place of escapism, peace, balance in this crazy busy world. To join together music and art. We will be inviting many musical friends to play with us. We will also be showing portraits of musicians when they are also “Gone”.
Time and date yet to be determined. We are aiming for July 2011.
In the interim, here are a few dates for the summer of 2010…
August 7th, Side Street Gallery in Wellington. We are playing for Linda William's Art Show ( a very dear and talented friend of mine)
August 15th, The Grange Winery from 1 to 4 in the afternoon – playing some jazz favourites.
